Kim Henderson
Biography
Kim Henderson is responsible for all aspects of Information Systems operations for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, including planning, staffing, organizing and managing the Arkansas Blue Cross operating systems application portfolio and programming staff. She helps the operational areas evaluate and determine future business needs and successfully implement and meet the company's strategic visions and goals. Henderson serves as the liaison with business partners to uphold compliance with the federal and state regulations. She is responsible for new technology, research and development and providing leadership in developing a vision and strategy to achieve strong business results through new IT products and services. Henderson joined Arkansas Blue Cross in 1983 as a programmer for the Medicare Part A system. She was promoted to manager of Information Systems in 1994. Since 2009, she has served as the director of Information Systems. A native of Harrisburg, Henderson earned her bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She participated in the University of Arkansas Emerging Leaders Program and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association Executive Leadership Program. She is a certified data processor. Henderson serves on the University of Arkansas Information Research Institute board and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Management Information Systems Advisory board.
