Plans purchased through the Health Care Independence Program

Due to your income level, if you enrolled through the Healthcare Independence Program, you are enrolled in a Metallic ARHOME Plan..

Option 1: Keep your current plan

If you're happy with your ARHOME plan and still qualify, you can keep your plan. Your coverage will be renewed January 1. If you're not sure if you still qualify for a ARHOME plan, you can contact the Arkansas Department of Human Services at 888-987-1200 and select Option 3.

Option 2: Make changes to your current plan

If you would like to make a change, you may change your plan one time between Nov. 1 and Jan. 15. Call us at 800-800-4298, or if you have an agent, call your agent, and we can help you shop for a new plan.

You must change your plan by December 15 for the change to be effective Jan. 1. All changes must be made before Dec. 15.

Option 3: Check for new plans or financial assistance

If you no longer qualify for a ARHOME plan, you can shop for a new plan beginning November 1 through Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, a broker or agent.

• Nov. 1 – Jan. 15 Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Period for Health Insurance Plans.
• For coverage to begin Jan. 1, you must enroll by Dec. 15.
